The Truth or Dare project aims to bring media literacy to young people from 5 European countries using non-formal education methods in a Youth Exchange. Media content is all around us and people consume it almost non-stop in different forms. Understanding the impact of media on our everyday behaviour, thinking and lives is crucial, especially for young people living between the real and digital worlds. Today's young people face multiple challenges and have specific needs in terms of media education and literacy, and the objectives of the project are as follows: 1. Raise awareness among participants about media consumption, the different forms media content takes and other related topics; 2. To improve critical thinking as an important skill in navigating through informational chaos and cyber security, but also in other aspects of young people's lives; 3. Developing soft skills needed to understand media content such as information and discourse analysis, evaluating media messages effectively or assessing the credibility of sources and understanding persuasion techniques used in the media; 4. Participants’ discovery of tools to combat misinformation and use them effectively; 5. To create an environment for discussion, debate and exchange of views among young people for a better understanding of media literacy in each country as well as of cultural diversity and European identity.
