Objectives

The aim of the "Empathy Road" project was to develop empathy and empathic communication skills. An empathic mindset and the ability to understand the needs of others are a way of solving conflicts and diminishing personal and social differences, thus fostering prosocial behaviors. The project idea of promoting inclusion and cohesion through mutual understanding of needs and dialogue was based on the needs of young people identified at the EU level, expressed in the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027, which supports reducing discrimination and exclusion and promoting young people's participation in constructive dialogue. Thus, the objectives set for our project were: 1) To cultivate empathic attitudes and prosocial behaviors among the 42 young people involved in the project activities. 2) To improve the empathic communication skills of the participants and further perpetuate them in their home social circles. 3) To create tools for promoting constructive dialogue among young people in order to diminish radical attitudes.
