Objectives

Through the “Eco Power” project we aimed to positively impact 40 young participants, 4 group leaders, the participant organizations, and their communities. We sought to encourage active volunteering, to increase competitiveness among peers, and to develop skills such as communication, civic responsibility, adaptability and teamwork using non- formal education methods. We made sure to provide an inclusive intercultural environment for the activities to take place. The young participants showed better understanding on what an active citizen means by taking part in project activities and how their actions could impact the environment and the others. The participants became aware of the importance of a clean and sustainable environment and of the advantages offered by the European Union by taking part in this project. By implementing this project, we longed to inspire our participants to become more involved in their communities, civic activities and volunteering regarding the sustainability of the environment. Using non- formal education methods, we successfully managed to improve skills such as teamwork, civic duty, adaptability, teamwork, competitiveness among peers and volunteering.
