Be the trainer the youth need was a training course implemented by ASK Yourself Romania, in partnership with 5 other European organisations: Youth Initiative Center - Latvia, Promesas - Spain, Global Circle - Italy, JCI - Serbia and LevelUP - Greece. The main aim of the project was to improve youth workers' competencies to create impactful and tailored training sessions that effectively address the diverse needs of the young people. Being a complex training, we focused on defining some clear learning objectives from the very start, that we managed to successfully achieve throughout the 10 months period: 1. By the end of the 10 month project period, all 24 youth workers demonstrated an expanded understanding of the phases of a training, the structure of non-formal education methods, how to assess needs, how to formulate SMART objectives based on the needs. 2. Throughout the duration of the project, the 24 participants developed advanced implementation skills, such as - session preparation, public speaking skills, the ability to use visual aids, conflict resolution, communication, group coordination, problem-solving, implementing and debriefing non-formal education methods effectively. 3. Throughout the project, the 24 youth workers cultivated a proactive mindset and increased confidence in their ability to work with young people as trainers. They developed a heightened motivation to create sessions that met their needs and exceeded their expectations.
