Objectives

By implementing this project, we aimed to contribute to the inclusion of young people with mental health disorders, a group that is often marginalized, stigmatized, and exposed to the risk of isolation, addiction, or even suicide. The project was based on our deep desire not to let these young people “get lost,” but to offer them support, opportunities, and resources for a more balanced life and better social integration. We identified seven partners from different European countries who shared the same concern, and together we built a common framework for action. Our goal was to develop an inclusion methodology based on effective non-formal methods, capable of responding to the real needs of young people and providing practical tools for the professionals involved. The main aim of the project was to create an optimal context for professional training and the exchange of experience regarding the use of dramatic techniques from non-formal education, such as Psychodrama, Playback Theatre, and Tele’drama, as structured resources for the inclusion of young people with mental health disorders. The objectives of the project were: OB1: To train 32 youth workers from 8 countries in the use of Psychodrama, Playback Theatre, and Tele’drama methods, in order to improve the quality of life of young people with mental health disorders; OB2: To train the same youth workers in the implementation of online, offline, and blended activities with diverse groups and support networks, in order to promote equal opportunities and increase social acceptance; OB3: To strengthen the capacity of the 8 partner organizations to reach young people with mental health disorders by developing innovative tools adapted to the specific needs of this target group. Through all these actions, we aimed to build a sustainable model of inclusion and international collaboration that supports, in the long term, the social and emotional integration of young people with mental health difficulties.
