Objectives

"Coaching for future: new horizons for youth workers" is a training course dedicated to an in-depth exploration of the coaching process and techniques, and is the result of a joint effort of 5 partner organisations ROI Association, Melting Box, Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa, Maricuir and Walbrzych Youth Association. With the help of this project, youth workers will acquire the necessary skills to integrate effective coaching and self-coaching techniques in working with young people. The objectives of this project are: 1. To develop a set of minimum 4 skills necessary to implement any coaching process: active listening, clear communication, setting SMART goals and giving constructive feedback. 2. To improve the ability to understand and apply a minimum of 4 non-formal coaching methods (SPACE model, GROW model, diary technique, wheel of life) that can be used in a recurrent way in working with young people. 3. Increased self-confidence (through the use of self-development coaching tools) in the ability of youth workers to help and support young people through a coaching process. *These objectives are addressed to the 25 youth workers participating in the project and will be achieved during the 10 months.
