Objectives

Each of us contributes to our collective reality. Unfortunately, we bear witness to traumatic events affecting the entire planet: armed conflicts, threats of new wars, and global warming increase the level of insecurity on a social level. We feel increasingly vulnerable and concerned about what is happening in the global political arena and the effects of global warming. Additionally, it has been noted that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the mental health of adolescents and young adults, with increased levels of anxiety and depression, especially among women. Recent studies confirm these findings, and it is truly worrying that the incidence of these issues is on the rise. This reality affects people of all ages in the communities of partner organizations. Although it seems overwhelming, we have confidence in our resources to act as agents of change. Therefore, the general aim of our project is to contribute to increased resilience in our communities. The specific objectives through which we intend to achieve this general aim are: 1. Increase the level of knowledge about trauma and resilience during a mobility organized for 24 youth workers, 2. Increase the level of knowledge of youth workers participating in the mobility regarding the principles of non-formal education based on trauma-awareness; 3. Empower 24 youth workers from 8 partner countries with personal and professional skills (self-exploration and resilience) during our mobility 4. Enhance the skills of 24 youth workers in using art elements (clay modeling, music, art journaling) in working with young people; 5. Develop a set of 6 art-inspired tools specific to non-formal education based on trauma-awareness; 6. Increase the level of international cooperation in the youth field among the 24 youth workers. We all realize that "man sanctifies the place" and that youth workers now more than ever need tools to strengthen the resilience of young people as well as their own, thus contributing to increasing safety levels in our communities.
