The project “Cu TINErii în Centru” addressed the limited access to spaces that support the personal, social, and professional development of young people in Vaslui and its surrounding areas, achieving four key objectives: - First, we strengthened collaboration competencies with decision-makers among 20 active young people from the Vaslui community, through both theoretical and practical learning. Participants acquired techniques, approaches, and practical tools for engaging with public institutions, guided by facilitators and coordinators. Learning activities were carried out throughout the project timeline, including between the main funded events, using the organization’s own resources. Participants applied their knowledge during key events involving direct interaction with decision-makers, as well as during mobility activities, where they compared the experiences of young people in Târgu Frumos and Baia Mare in relation to local institutions. - Second, as a complementary outcome, 15 of the 20 participants were supported to develop the skills needed to manage, maintain, and further develop a youth center or similar structure in Vaslui. Activities included targeted inputs on the specific requirements of such initiatives, as well as the possibility of additional mentoring sessions upon request. Study visits to A.C.T House (Târgu Frumos) and ZborHUB (Baia Mare) provided valuable, hands-on learning experiences, showcasing two youth centers with distinct operational models. - Third, we developed a sustainable framework for collaboration between young people and local authorities, focused on the creation of accessible and functional youth spaces. Building on the Resolution of Vaslui Youth for 2030 – “We look at the present, we imagine the future of Vaslui”, the project functioned as a strategic intervention within the broader context of the Vaslui – Youth Capital of Romania 2025 programme. Meetings with local decision-makers—particularly the two main project events—facilitated the establishment of a structured, ongoing dialogue. The resolution was further enhanced with methodologies and shared reference points to guide future collaboration beyond the project’s duration. The Vaslui Youth Federation and its member and partner organizations, including ADU, will continue to implement and build upon these results. - Finally, we transferred the managerial know-how developed within the project to at least 45 additional young people from Eastern Romania interested in replicating the model. This was achieved through the regional network of the Vaslui Youth Federation (including Roman, Iași, Vaslui, and Vaslui County), which supported outreach and participation in the project’s main events. Mobility activities in Târgu Frumos and Baia Mare also included dedicated components highlighting how ADU leveraged Erasmus+ support to strengthen the youth sector in Vaslui during the Capital Year. At the same time, we were present at the Youth Summit X in Vaslui, where we had the opportunity to present our project to dozens of young people from across the country, explaining the steps we followed to ensure it fulfilled its purpose.
