In our work with young people, we've noticed that many of them today face difficulties in expressing their ideas, which often results in missed opportunities or even social isolation. Why is this happening? First, there is a lack of education in communication and public speaking for young people. Additionally, there are too few informal settings where they can build these skills, as youth workers and organizations are not equipped to provide opportunities that help young people develop their communication abilities. A person who struggles to communicate and articulate their thoughts will have fewer chances of securing employment—if a candidate cannot engage in conversation or express themselves clearly, they are unlikely to pass the interview stage. We initiated a collaborative effort by surveying young people in our community, and we found that most respondents are eager to join the project to enhance their skills, recognizing its importance in their lives. Goal: To improve the public speaking and communication skills of 30 young people aged 18-25 from the communities of participating organizations in Slovakia, Romania, and Portugal by the end of the project. Specific objectives: • O1: Organize a 9-day youth exchange in Slovakia aimed at enhancing the public speaking and communication abilities of 30 young participants from Slovakia, Romania, and Portugal. • O2: Empower 30 young participants from Slovakia, Romania, and Portugal (aged 18-25) to lead workshops during the exchange, helping them overcome their fear of public speaking and improving their job prospects and personal relationships by the project's end. • O3: Strengthen the capacities of participating organizations from Slovakia, Romania, and Portugal in conducting activities focused on communication and public speaking by the conclusion of the project.
