RISE is an initiative designed to promote personal development among young people, particularly those from disadvantaged or hard-to-reach backgrounds - such as individuals facing early school dropout, mental health challenges, belonging to minority groups, or being at risk of radicalization. The project's goal is to enhance mental well-being and facilitate sustainable professional and personal outcomes. It presents an innovative model in the youth work sector, focusing on natural methods, self-discovery activities, and psychological strategies. PROJECT AIM: The primary objective is to enhance the capacity of youth workers to foster sustainable individual development in young people, thereby addressing behavioral, psychological, and health-related challenges—such as educational difficulties, early school leaving, mental health issues, social exclusion, and radicalization. This will be accomplished through a novel approach that integrates nature-based methods, cognitive and somatic (physical) activities, and principles of developmental psychology. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: - Cultivating a shared understanding of the developmental needs of disadvantaged and hard-to-reach youth, including issues such as educational challenges, early school dropout, and mental health concerns. - Building competencies that empower youth workers to assist young individuals facing complex personal circumstances, enabling them to realize their full potential. - Facilitating the practice of nature-based methods, along with cognitive and somatic (physical) activities and psychological techniques, aimed at fostering social inclusion and personal fulfillment among young people. - Creating an environment that promotes core values - such as support, unity, respect, empathy, inclusion, and acceptance - that youth workers can encourage within their target groups. - Developing practical sessions tailored by youth workers based on the integrated approach, adapting it to the specific needs of target groups and the local community.
