The main goal of our project is to empower youth workers with critical skills to better support and guide young people through the current challenges they face, such as digital transformation, communication issues, and mental well-being. Specifically, we aim to strengthen competencies in communication, AI literacy, and burnout prevention within youth work. These areas have been identified as crucial by participating organizations, based on their experiences and needs in day-to-day work with young people. Through this project, we aim to achieve the following objectives: -To facilitate the sharing of 6 successful practices among 24 youth workers from different organizations, with 3 dedicated sessions focused on AI and communication strategies to enhance participants' capabilities. -To share 12 well-being practices among 24 youth workers to prevent burn-outs and loss of motivation, with 6 different sessions focused on mindfulness exercises, time management, and sharing; and a 150-minute session with a psychologist focused on burn-out prevention, mindfulness, and motivation. -By the end of the training course, we aim to improve the skills of 24 youth workers in teaching effective communication and understanding its importance by facilitating at least 6 communication skill-building activities for young people. Each activity will focus on enhancing specific aspects of communication, such as active listening, empathy, and both verbal and non-verbal self-expression. -By the end of the training course, we aim to equip 24 youth workers with foundational knowledge about how AI works and the ethical implications of AI in youth work. This will be achieved through a series of 4 workshops and 2 debates, where participants will explore AI’s functions, potential benefits, and challenges. The training course will consist of various workshops, discussions, and hands-on activities, fostering peer-to-peer learning and exchange of best practices. By the end of the project, participants will have developed practical tools that they can implement in their local communities, ensuring the sustainability of the project’s impact. Additionally, we aim for these youth workers to share their learnings with their peers, fostering a ripple effect that will extend beyond the immediate participants and organizations. Ultimately, our project seeks to improve the quality, innovation, and inclusivity of youth work by providing essential tools and knowledge that can be directly applied to the daily work of youth workers across Europe. This will contribute to the professional growth of participants and the betterment of the communities they work in.
