Objectives

Our project, hosted by Terme Municipality, aims to inspire young people in a magical setting where nature and culture intertwine, fostering environmental awareness, sustainable agriculture, and the protection of nature. Our primary goal is to strengthen the role of youth in addressing global challenges like climate change, soil degradation, and the depletion of natural resources, empowering them to become future protectors of our planet. This project is not only about providing knowledge, but about nurturing individuals who understand nature, speak its language, and act as integral parts of the ecosystem. The project's core objective is to equip young participants with ecological literacy and sustainable farming skills, helping them take on the responsibility of preserving nature. At the same time, it aims to raise awareness about how climate change and soil degradation threaten cultural heritage. The youth involved will not just trace the footprints of the past but will come to understand the deep interconnection between living in harmony with nature and safeguarding both cultural and natural environments. Throughout the project, participants will engage in a variety of activities, including planting heirloom seeds, conducting recycling initiatives, taking nature walks, and participating in climate change workshops. These experiences will strengthen their connection to the earth, nature, and cultural heritage, as they explore how the cycles of nature are intertwined with the history of humanity. By learning about the destructive impacts of climate change and soil degradation on the planet, participants will deeply understand that protecting nature is both an environmental and a cultural responsibility. With the slogan “Protect the Soil, Build the Future!” we will remind young people that preserving nature and culture is a unified mission, and every individual must play an active role. By the end of the project, each participant will become not only an eco-conscious individual but also a leader and protector of nature and cultural heritage in their communities, serving as environmental ambassadors. The youth will learn that climate change is not merely an environmental issue but a major threat to agriculture and food security due to soil degradation. Armed with the knowledge and experiences gained through the project, participants will return to their communities ready to share this awareness, initiate local projects focused on sustainable agriculture and environmental consciousness, and take tangible steps toward a greener future. Through this project, we aim to not only raise environmental awareness but also empower young people to become the voice of nature. Terme’s natural beauty and cultural richness will not only remind them of the memories of the past but will also cultivate them as individuals who will build the future. With our project, titled "Nature and History Hand in Hand: The Rhythm of the Soil is the Key to the Future!", participants will experience the power of nature and the depth of culture, and understand how these two elements form a unified whole, inspiring them to take responsibility for a more sustainable world. Our goal is for each young participant to take away a deep inspiration from this project, incorporating sustainable living, soil preservation, and climate change mitigation into their lives. This project will help them undergo both personal and social transformation, preparing them to be future leaders who care for the environment and protect cultural heritage. "Protect Nature, Preserve Culture, Build the Future!"
