With our project called "Songs Born on the Way of Migration", we aim to draw attention to the negative attitudes towards refugees, who are gradually growing throughout Europe and are at the center of the policies of many countries. It is aimed to develop positive behaviors in this direction by developing feelings of empathy and tolerance in countries facing migration problems. It is aimed for the young people participating in our project to develop skills regarding social problems and to take concrete steps towards solving the identified problems by planning creative studies. The most important reasons for people to migrate throughout history have been security and economic concerns. Today, conflicts of interest, ethnic tensions, civil wars and negative economic conditions force people to relocate. Migration can be defined as the migration of people from one settlement to another due to religious, economic, political, social and other reasons. Migration processes lead to tragic consequences as displaced people leave their own lands willingly or compulsorily, and new social and cultural problems arise in the migrated regions. The European Union has been a center of attraction for people from other countries since its establishment. The European Union, which creates a model in economic, social, political and democratic fields, has turned into a structure that encourages migration with its level of development. Especially after the 1960s, most of those who immigrated to EU countries for economic reasons obtained citizenship. Today, migration to Europe continues for economic and political reasons. The European Union develops common policies as well as the member countries' own regulations to ensure the economic and social integration of immigrants. In this context, our project aims to develop feelings of tolerance and empathy by standing against the exclusion of immigrants, which is a Europe-wide problem, and to raise awareness through the universal language of music. Our project has set some sub-goals in order to positively change the attitudes of European countries towards refugees, draw attention to refugee problems and develop solution-oriented approaches: Contributing to refugees gaining social belonging, To raise awareness by drawing attention to the problems experienced by refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants, Organizing various activities that support the development of empathy and tolerance, To raise awareness by sharing examples from the history of project partners and the life stories of refugees, To develop policies that will facilitate the acceptance of refugees into society by examining the integration studies implemented for war victims, To discuss refugee problems on an international scale through prepared presentations, interviews, documentaries and news and to offer solution suggestions, Creating social messages through artistic activities such as posters, slogans, logos and t-shirt painting and delivering these messages to large audiences, To help young people develop empathy and get rid of their prejudices through the "It Could Be You" session and drama activities, To ensure that real refugee stories are recorded and monitored and to contribute to the development of positive attitudes towards war victims, Organizing events to eliminate prejudices and xenophobia against different religions and races, To raise awareness in the society by presenting songs about the tragedy of refugees and immigrants through concert events, Bringing together songs, stories and photographs from the war periods with exhibitions, drama and concert events, and ensuring the dissemination of these materials through websites, social media channels and local press, Promoting intercultural and interreligious dialogue, freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights by reaching young people at risk of marginalization; To develop initiative and a sense of responsibility in young people, To increase intercultural interaction through music studies that young people from different cultures will do together, To introduce participants to different instruments, To improve the quality of youth work.
