Summary of LET’S STAY WİTH YOURSELF Project With the development of technology, computers, internet and smartphones have become an important part of daily life. Innovations brought about by technological developments make people's daily lives easier and contribute to adaptation to changing world conditions. However, the situation of being addicted to the internet has emerged with the display of some behaviors that are indicative of addiction, such as excessive mental effort, increase in the duration of being connected to the internet, unsuccessful attempts to quit, withdrawal behaviors, decreases in school and work success, and sudden emotional changes when not accessing the internet. According to the "We Are Social" January 2022 "Internet and Social Media User Statistics" report, 5.32 billion of the 7.92 billion world population use smartphones, 4.95 billion use the internet and 4.62 use social media. In addition, due to the COVID-19 epidemic, young people have been exposed to isolation in their real social environments. This process causes negative emotional reactions such as fear and anger in young people, increases their stress levels, and increases their susceptibility to psychological disorders such as anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. This situation causes them to move away from their social environments, where they can share private things, and to be pushed into loneliness. University students who cannot develop their social skills in the natural social environment experience serious problems in later life and their well-being is negatively affected by this situation. Non- educational activities also play an important role in helping individuals, who are at their most active during their youth, spend their time in a good and qualified way, use their energy for activities that benefit the individual and society, protect themselves from bad habits and develop their knowledge, skills and abilities. According to the "We Are Social" January 2022 "Internet and Social Media User Statistics" report, an average of 8 hours of time is spent on the internet per day in Turkey, while project stakeholders spend 6.5 hours in Greece, 6.09 in Italy and 7.09 hours in Romania. Izmir Bornova Youth Center is a center actively used by an average of 500 young people daily. Many workshops have been held in line with the needs of young people. It has been observed that they have difficulty in controlling their use of technology, internet and social media. Based on these observations and the justifications of the results, "Let's Stay With Yourself?" to increase the efficiency of Technology Addiction. project has been implemented. As part of the fight against technology addiction, Turkish and foreign young people between the ages of 18-29 participate in the "phone lockup" application and spend 5 days without their phones. A camp period is held where various activities are held on the themes of healthy living, environment, culture and art. The main purpose of the project is to make young people aware of the time they spend on the internet and social media. In addition, it is expected that intercultural interaction will increase with events that bring together young people from different cultures. In addition, it is aimed to increase the different knowledge and skills of young people through local and artistic works. All prepared activities help young people learn about themselves, increase their communication skills, be a part of production, learn cultural values by experiencing, respect differences, in the face of many negativities such as stress, fatigue, accepting what is offered, not being able to discover their skills, being away from production, that smart phones and social media create on young people. It aims to increase positive skills such as empathy and tolerance. In addition, it is aimed for young people to improve their time management and self-expression skills with diaries specially prepared for each day spent without a phone. The positive and negative effects of the Project were observed through the diaries written by the young people day by day, and the article written with the data obtained from 4 different camp periods held at the national level was presented and reported at the "3rd International Recreation and Sports Management Congress".
