Objectives

The EmpowerUp project aims to enhance youth workers' ability to proficiently incorporate digital tools and social innovation into their daily work with young people, as seen through the lens of youth work practice. Youth workers need to keep up with new technologies in order to effectively engage, educate, and empower young people, particularly those who are facing social, economic, or geographic obstacles. This is especially important in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. The key objectives of the project from a youth work perspective are: -To provide youth workers with useful digital skills and resources, like AI-based tools, digital platforms, and social media strategies, that they can use in their day-to-day work. With these abilities, youth workers will be able to provide the young people they support with more engaging, inclusive, and dynamic learning environments. -To encourage the use of digital technologies to address urgent social issues, promote inclusivity, and enable youth to actively participate in their communities in order to advance social innovation in youth work. -To ensure that youth workers' practices are in line with EU Youth Standards and Erasmus+ priorities by improving their capacity to design and execute non-formal education strategies through the use of digital technologies. -To assist youth workers in promoting lifelong learning and social inclusion by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to reach young people in underserved or remote communities. EmpowerUp will improve the quality and effectiveness of youth work by making youth workers better able to meet the diverse and changing needs of the young people they serve. This project will help young workers become better professionals and make communities stronger, more welcoming, and better able to use technology. We want to empower youth workers by giving them better digital skills and encouraging social innovation in their work with young people through the EmpowerUp project. The main goal is to provide youth workers with the skills, information, and abilities needed to use digital technologies to address the issues that today's youth face. The goal of incorporating digital transformation into youth work practices is to develop more inventive, inclusive, and engaging methods of assisting young people—particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds.Through the development of youth workers' practical skills in areas like digital literacy, AI-based tools, and non-formal learning methods, the project aims to advance youth work practices. Furthermore, in order to comply with Erasmus+ priorities and support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), we also hope to enhance their ability to apply these technologies in ways that promote social inclusion, community engagement, and sustainable development.EmpowerUp aims to have a lasting impact on the quality and innovation of youth work by providing youth workers with the skills they need to meet the evolving needs of the communities they serve, while also promoting collaborative learning, active participation, and environmental sustainability. Through this project, we are aiming to foster a culture of continuous learning, adaptability, and digital empowerment in the youth sector.
