Objectives

By implementing the project, our primary aim from a youth work perspective was to raise awareness about peer bullying, strengthen young people's psychological resilience, and encourage them to take an active stance against bullying. We sought to reduce the long-term negative effects of peer bullying and hate speech, which are frequently observed in schools in our country, and to equip young people with the skills necessary to protect both themselves and their peers. Throughout the project, we collaborated with partners who had prior experience in similar initiatives, adapting various anti-bullying approaches to a youth work context. By creating an international learning environment, we enabled participants to meet peers from different cultures, share their experiences, and develop a shared understanding of how to combat bullying. Based on the findings of the survey we conducted on different types of bullying—verbal, physical, and cyber—we aimed to help young participants recognize these forms of bullying and improve their coping strategies. Through workshops and group activities, we created opportunities for participants to understand their own roles, contributions, and responsibilities. We also aimed to strengthen key youth work values such as empathy, inclusiveness, and solidarity by ensuring that young people could understand the needs of both victims and perpetrators of bullying. One of the major outcomes of the project was to provide participants with the tools to enhance their psychological resilience and apply these skills in their everyday lives. Main objectives of the project General Objectives To support young people who have experienced peer bullying in shifting from a passive victim role to becoming active participants in anti-bullying efforts. To strengthen the sense of European citizenship and intercultural understanding among participants. To enable participants to experience the tangible results of their individual efforts through experiential learning. To promote cooperation and communication among different organizations. Specific Objectives To increase participants’ awareness of peer bullying and help them develop practical measures to reduce its negative effects. To encourage the development of recommendations aimed at preventing and mitigating the impact of bullying. To enhance participants’ psychological resilience and motivate them to apply this knowledge in various aspects of their lives. To provide an international setting where young people can exchange ideas, knowledge, and experiences.
