Objectives

The main goal we want to achieve by implementing the project is to increase the awareness of young people on combating climate change and to enable them to take an active role in this struggle. From the perspective of youth work practice, one of the objectives of our project is primarily to increase the knowledge level of young people. We aim to increase the knowledge level of the participants by providing them with a comprehensive training on the impacts of climate change, crisis management and volunteer work. Through these trainings, young people will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to understand the social impacts of natural disasters caused by climate change and learn how to act on these issues. At the same time, we also aim to increase the motivation of young people for volunteering. Through training programmes and practical workshops, young people will be encouraged to participate in volunteer work. They will be informed about how they can volunteer effectively especially in disaster situations. Within the scope of youth work practice, we aim to develop participants' social and cultural awareness through discussions on how they can address climate change related issues in different cultural and social contexts. This process will enable young people to better understand social issues in their communities and raise awareness on social justice issues. The project also aims to develop the entrepreneurial skills of young people to develop innovative solutions to environmental problems. Through workshops and group projects, young people will be provided with an environment where they can realise their own ideas. In terms of youth work practice, we aim to create a social network among the participants, enabling young people to connect with each other and share knowledge. This network will support the participants to benefit from each other's experiences and to cooperate in joint projects. It is aimed to ensure that the knowledge and experiences gained by young people are disseminated in local communities and the impact of the project will be permanent. Local events and information activities organised by young people will raise awareness on environmental sustainability and encourage communities to take action on these issues. Finally, our project aims to increase the capacities of youth workers and improve their ability to provide guidance on climate change, crisis management and volunteering. This process will create a more experienced and effective workforce in the field of youth work. In line with all these objectives, our project will enable young people to become active individuals in the fight against climate change, make a difference in their communities and develop sustainable solutions for the future. This process will be an important step in terms of youth work practice and will create a strong basis for social change. We also aim to ensure the sustainability of the knowledge and experiences gained by actively involving the participants in the dissemination of the project results. Participants will be informed through training programmes, will take an active role in local events and will undertake the sharing of project outputs on social media channels. In this way, young people will be encouraged to become active representatives of environmental sustainability and volunteering.
