The unlimited communication opportunities provided by technology and the widespread use of the internet have significantly increased in recent years. While these communication opportunities offer many advantages, they also give rise to various negative consequences. One of these issues is cyberbullying. As an increasingly prevalent societal problem, combating cyberbullying is of vital importance, and raising awareness and educating individuals on this matter is crucial. Cyberbullying can be defined as any behavior in which an individual or a group seeks to harm another person through digital platforms. This behavior can have psychological, emotional, and sometimes physical effects. Victims are often subjected to harassment, threats, or humiliation on social media, messaging apps, or other online spaces. Due to the nature of cyberbullying, it is often difficult for victims to ignore or protect themselves from such behavior, as the perpetrators may remain anonymous and have continuous access to the victim's personal life. One of the primary objectives of our "CyberCARE" project is to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge about cyberbullying. This awareness-raising process will not only focus on understanding the effects of cyberbullying but also on developing new methods to cope with such situations. As a result, young people and youth workers will gain awareness and motivation to create solutions to combat this issue. Learning active coping skills to deal with cyberbullying plays a crucial role in reducing the negative impacts on victims. These skills will not only help individuals cope with cyberbullying but will also enhance their ability to face other challenges they encounter in daily life. Throughout the project, participants will be encouraged to integrate these skills into their lives. Within the scope of the "CyberCARE" project, young people and youth workers will receive detailed information about safe and conscious internet usage. This approach aims to reduce the spread of cyberbullying. Our project partners will provide guidance according to their areas of expertise, enabling the development of new methods to prevent cyberbullying. We will employ widespread educational techniques, allowing participants to engage in experiential learning. Additionally, participants from different countries will come together to share their knowledge and skills. This will create an intercultural learning network and foster collective awareness in the fight against cyberbullying. Participants will be encouraged to spread the knowledge they have gained within their own communities, ensuring that the benefits of the project reach a wider audience. The active involvement of participants at every stage of the project—planning, implementation, and evaluation—is crucial for increasing the long-term impact of such projects. In each stage of the project, participants will play an active role, contributing significantly to the achievement of the project’s goals. Benefits for Participants: • Participants will gain knowledge and awareness about cyberbullying and conscious internet usage. • Young people and youth workers will learn that they can individually contribute to solving problems. • They will see the power of teamwork in developing lasting and effective solutions. • A bridge will be established between participants from different cultural backgrounds, leading to a better understanding of cultural differences. • Participants will have the opportunity to develop their social skills and strengthen their collaboration networks. • Participants will be encouraged to become more sensitive to the issues around them. • They will be motivated to create new projects and enhance their leadership capacities. Overall Contributions of the Project: • Participants will actively engage in the project’s solution-oriented activities, becoming an integral part of the process. • They will experience the productive outcomes of teamwork and recognize the value of each individual’s ideas. • A strong collaboration network will be built among project partners, strengthening institutional capacities and leadership abilities. • Participants will make positive contributions to their communities by sharing project outputs such as videos and photos on social media, thus raising awareness about cyberbullying. This will help reach a broader audience and increase awareness in the fight against cyberbullying. Through these efforts, the project will contribute to fostering a more informed, collaborative, and proactive community in combating the growing challenge of cyberbullying.
