Objectives

Our project, Brain Power Against Brain Drain, aims to address the increasing issue of youth unemployment in rural areas, particularly in the agricultural sector. The objectives of the project are to empower youth workers by equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to guide rural youth towards entrepreneurial ventures, especially in sustainable agriculture. Through targeted training, we aim to build a technology-based entrepreneurial ecosystem that fosters innovation, sustainability, and economic development in rural areas. The project’s objectives from a youth work practice perspective include: 1.Enhancing the capacity of youth workers to support and mentor young entrepreneurs in rural regions. 2.Encouraging sustainable agricultural practices that align with the European Union’s New Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) 2023–2027, particularly in connection with the Green Deal. 3.Reducing rural-to-urban migration by creating new employment opportunities for young people within their communities. 4.Building a collaborative network among youth workers across Europe to exchange best practices and foster innovative approaches to rural entrepreneurship. By achieving these objectives, we will contribute to the social, economic, and environmental development of rural communities, empowering young leaders to drive positive change within their regions.
