The main objective of the project was to raise young people’s awareness of cultural heritage and traditional occupations, and to enable them to explore the potential of these fields as sustainable employment opportunities in today’s context. In this regard, the project aimed not only to provide theoretical knowledge but also to develop participants’ entrepreneurial skills through practical and experiential learning processes. Within the scope of the project, particular emphasis was placed on the preservation, reinterpretation, and integration of traditional handicrafts into modern business models. It was aimed that participants would both recognize cultural heritage as a value to be preserved and consider it as an economic opportunity. To achieve these objectives, interactive workshops based on non-formal education methods were designed and implemented. Participants developed their own brands and products through group work, conducted market analysis, identified target audiences, and created sales strategies. In addition, through a knowledge-sharing session with an experienced entrepreneur in the field, concrete examples were provided on how traditional occupations can be transformed into employment opportunities. The project also aimed to promote active participation among young people by encouraging their involvement in decision-making processes. In this context, participants developed policy recommendations addressing the challenges and opportunities related to the preservation and transmission of cultural heritage to younger generations, and collaboratively produced a shared vision document. In line with European Union youth policies, the project supported the principles of inclusion, active citizenship, cultural diversity, and sustainability. Young people from diverse backgrounds were brought together to collaborate and co-create, thereby strengthening social cohesion and mutual learning. In conclusion, the project aimed to support the personal development of young people while fostering innovative approaches to transforming cultural heritage into economic value and ensuring their active involvement in this process.
