Upon reviewing the literature, we found that academic studies in the field of post-disaster trauma and support processes emphasize the risk of observing secondary traumatic stress in professionals and volunteers working in the post-disaster field, particularly in education and health. In this sense, we have attempted to design a project that would enable us to identify the problems faced by young professionals and volunteers from different occupational groups working in the region following the 6 February earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş. In this context, our project was planned as a participatory symposium that would bring together professionals and volunteers from different occupational groups who had traveled to the region to work after the 6 February earthquakes. We aimed to bring them together to share experiences, identify problems, and create solutions. At the first participatory symposium, after hearing from the region, we worked to identify problems and develop solutions. In the second participatory symposium, we discussed future actions based on these solution proposals with decision-makers from different ministries, presidencies, and NGOs. With the second phase, we aimed to ensure these outcomes reach the relevant people so they can review and take action. One of the main objectives of the project was to create written materials for future use and to organize awareness seminars on secondary traumatic stress. In this regard, two booklets outlining the study's purpose and findings were published after the first and second workshops of the project. These were shared with both participants and different institutions. In addition, a book and an article were created to reach more people.
