Our main goal in implementing this project was to raise awareness about protecting the rich natural heritage of Laçin together with young people. We especially aimed to build a more conscious and active youth community in the fields of biodiversity, sustainable agriculture, and youth participation in decision-making processes. Throughout the project, we wanted young people not only to participate as listeners, but also to become active individuals who generate ideas, discuss problems, develop solutions, and prepare policy recommendations. In line with this, our objectives included increasing young people’s knowledge and awareness about biodiversity, helping them gain new skills in sustainable agriculture and entrepreneurship, encouraging cooperation with institutions, and empowering them to contribute to local policies with confidence. We also aimed to support young people in becoming environmentally conscious, solution-oriented, and socially active individuals who can play an important role in their local communities. Through local meetings, workshops, field visits, and the regional summit carried out during the project, young people had the opportunity to learn directly from experts and practitioners while also meeting with local decision-makers to share their ideas and recommendations. In this way, the project became not only a learning experience but also a participatory process where young people felt that their voices mattered and that they could actively contribute to the future of their region.
