With our project called The Risk Reduction Capacity of Disaster Professionals is Strengthening!, we aim to prepare an inclusive policy document by bringing together AFAD personnel, professional disaster workers, and young disaster volunteers, so that young people, who are subjects, have a say in disaster policies. When we consider the risky situation of our country in terms of disasters and emergencies, it should be quite normal for our disaster policies to be updated with young people according to constantly developing technology. As AFAD Presidency, as an institution with thousands of young volunteers, we prepared this project with our field organizations because we aim for young people to take part in disaster risk reduction activities as subjects, not only physically, but also as decision makers. With our project, we aim to come together with at least 300 young individuals by operating in 7 regions and discuss our country's disaster risk policies.
