The overall objective of the implemented projects was to strengthen the quality, innovation, and sustainability of youth work at the European level, while empowering both young people and youth workers in their active roles within society. A holistic approach was followed, combining ecological responsibility, social inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and personal and professional development. Through the combination of one youth mobility and three youth workers’ mobilities, it was possible to achieve both direct learning processes with young people and the development of methods and competences among youth work professionals. A key priority was to embed sustainable approaches in youth work in the long term and to empower participants to act as multipliers within their local communities. Within the youth mobility “EcoRights: Youth for Change”, the focus was on actively engaging young people and strengthening their competences in democratic participation, environmental awareness, and social responsibility. The objective was to provide participants with a deeper understanding of European values, the EU Youth Goals, and current environmental and societal challenges. At the same time, they were encouraged to take an active role in promoting a sustainable and inclusive society. Through interactive methods, international cooperation, and the use of digital tools, the project not only transferred knowledge but also fostered critical thinking, teamwork, and initiative. The three youth workers’ mobilities built upon these objectives by specifically enhancing the competences of youth workers and equipping them with innovative methods for their daily practice. In the project “Green Resonance: Sustainable Harmony”, the focus was on the connection between sustainability, creativity, and digital approaches. The aim was to provide youth workers with new tools to promote environmental awareness in creative ways, particularly through music and artistic expression. At the same time, the importance of teamwork, intercultural learning, and inclusive methods was emphasized in order to engage young people in diverse and meaningful ways. The project “Cultural Roots, Sustainable Future” aimed to reflect on and further develop the role of cultural heritage and organisational development in sustainable youth work. Youth workers were encouraged to explore how existing experiences, traditions, and established structures can be used to design innovative and future-oriented approaches. At the same time, a strong emphasis was placed on intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding, and European cooperation in order to promote inclusive and diverse youth work. Within the youth workers’ mobility “Zero Hunger, Zero Waste: Cooking for a Better Tomorrow”, particular attention was given to the connection between sustainability, food awareness, and social inclusion. The objective was to equip youth workers with practical competences in sustainable consumption, food awareness, and waste reduction. Through hands-on learning methods and workshops, they were empowered to integrate these topics into their work with young people, especially when working with disadvantaged groups. At the same time, the importance of learning through practical experience was highlighted in order to promote long-term sustainable behaviors. Overall, all projects shared the common goal of making youth work in Europe more sustainable, inclusive, and innovative. Through the combination of youth mobility and youth workers’ mobilities, both direct impacts on young people and long-term structural improvements in youth work were achieved. Participants were empowered to transfer the acquired knowledge into their local contexts, initiate new projects, and actively contribute to the development of a sustainable and cohesive European society.
