Objectives

The project aimed to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment where young people could overcome their fear of public speaking and strengthen their personal, social and intercultural competences. The main intention was to empower participants-especially those with fewer opportunities-to build self-confidence, express their ideas clearly and actively engage in group and public communication without fear of judgment. Through the youth exchange, we aimed to provide participants with practical learning experiences that combined non-formal education methods, peer learning and real-life speaking situations. By participating in workshops, group activities and reflection sessions, young people were encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, gradually reduce anxiety related to public speaking and develop a stronger sense of initiative, responsibility and self-awareness. Another important goal of the project was to increase access to international mobility opportunities for young people with fewer opportunities. By bringing together participants from different countries, the project promoted intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding and respect for diversity. It also introduced participants to the Erasmus+ Programme as a valuable tool for their future personal and professional development, motivating them to become more active at local and European levels. In addition, the project aimed to strengthen key competences such as communication, teamwork, leadership and critical thinking. Participants were not only learners but also active contributors, as they designed and delivered their own workshops, took responsibility in group tasks and supported each other’s learning process. Continuous reflection activities helped them recognise their progress and better understand their learning outcomes. The specific objectives of the project were: -To empower young people to overcome public speaking anxiety and build lasting self-confidence -To develop practical communication skills, including structuring presentations, using body language and engaging an audience -To encourage active participation by involving participants in designing and delivering workshops -To strengthen teamwork, cooperation and intercultural understanding through group-based and mixed-nationality activities -To develop leadership skills by promoting initiative, responsibility and peer support -To increase awareness of Erasmus+ opportunities and foster a sense of European identity and active citizenship -To support participants in stepping outside their comfort zones and developing a growth mindset -To promote inclusion by actively engaging young people with fewer opportunities in an international learning experience
