The project „EU hautnah erleben“ aims to sustainably inspire young people about the political processes within the EU and empower them to actively participate in these processes. Through direct encounters in Strasbourg and Brussels, as well as personal exchanges with decision-makers, participants learn how important political decisions are made and what impact these decisions have on their daily lives. Experiencing these processes firsthand makes them easier to understand and follow, even though they are often perceived as complex. At the same time, the project places great emphasis on showing young people concrete opportunities for participation. They learn how to influence decision-making themselves and actively engage in democratic processes, thereby reducing feelings of powerlessness and political disillusionment.
