We cannot find a solution to these needs in Flanders, hence we make a request to go international and to send 8 students of the 6th year D/A from the departments of biotechnological and chemical techniques and data and application management for 3 weeks on an internship abroad to Spain, which will lead to and improvement of some competences in their personal life and give them a boost in their school career, so that these students will be stronger on the labor market.
For many years, most of our third grade students have been doing an internship in their region, but we find that a number of issues are not addressed during that internship In addition, we find that we need to make adjustments at our school, not only in teaching but also in the area of internships. and there are also some specific needs in certain departments Finally, there was also a study done by UCLL which shows that our school needs more internationalization.
