In 2019, the Parliament of the German-speaking Community created the permanent citizens' dialogue by decree - one of the world's most far-reaching forms of deliberative citizen participation. This is intended to submit recommendations on specific topics, which are drawn up through deliberation in citizens' assemblies. The further development of the citizens' dialogue requires further scientific investigation, which should also serve to support the creation of other citizen participation formats.
