Objectives

Zenith is a journey, but above all, it is a quest. A train crossing Europe, young people embarking, borders fading away. For 21 days, we will travel through landscapes, cultures, and histories but above all, through ideas. Zenith is not just an itinerary drawn on a map. It is a project that challenges, that disrupts, that pushes us to look further, beyond the lines we draw between people. We live in a Europe defined by its borders. Those redrawn by history, those still existing on maps, those we carry within ourselves. But what if these borders had been different? What if they had never existed? What remains beyond these separations? With Zenith, we want to gain perspective, to explore these questions by immersing ourselves in territories where borders have shifted, disappeared, imposed themselves, or been contested. We want to understand how they have shaped identities, cultures, and relationships between peoples. We want to deconstruct in order to rebuild, to question in order to understand, to travel in order to connect. The countries we will travel through will not be chosen at random. Each one will carry a history of shifting borders, intertwined cultures, and divisions that have been overcome. The destinations will be selected together with the group, creating a realistic train itinerary through five European cities. Each of these cities will tell us, in its own way, how borders shape and transform societies. Zenith is the highest point, the moment when everything becomes clearer, when one reaches the peak of reflection, of experience. After Horizon, which paved the way, Zenith takes the journey even further. It is no longer just about exploring, but about understanding in depth, questioning what divides us, and imagining what could bring us together. It is a project that invites us to look up, to see beyond, to become aware of the place each of us can occupy in a constantly evolving Europe. But this project is not just a reflection on Europe. It is also a human adventure. Zenith is about young people who, for the most part, have never had the chance to travel this far, who have never had the opportunity to see their continent beyond books or screens. Young people who have often been reminded of where they come from but rarely of where they could go. By offering them this opportunity, we want to give them the freedom to explore, to claim Europe as their own, and to feel legitimate in taking their place within it. Zenith is also a school of reality, where every moment becomes a learning opportunity.
The young participants will not just be spectators of the journey; they will be its actors and protagonists. They will organize their days, manage logistics, document their journey, lead discussions, and share their discoveries. Each stage of the project is an experience in itself, a way to develop essential skills: autonomy, teamwork, decision-making, intercultural communication. Far from classrooms, they will learn by living, by crossing cities where multiple languages coexist, where cultures intertwine, where histories collide. They will ask questions, observe, and engage with those who experience these realities every day. They will understand that Europe is not just lines drawn on a map, but above all, a space of encounters and exchanges. This journey will leave its mark. For them, for us, for those who follow. Throughout the project, we will collect testimonies, stories, and images. Each young participant will share their experience through videos that will be integrated into an interactive map, displayed in our organization’s space. This map will not just be a souvenir—it will be a bridge between generations of travelers, a living archive where anyone can discover, through a QR code, what others experienced before them, in those same places, with those same questions. But Zenith will not end when the train returns to the station. We want this project to be a starting point, a spark. Upon their return, these young people will have grown, changed, gained confidence. They will have discovered Europe differently and, above all, they will have discovered that they belong to it. We will support them in valuing this experience, so that it becomes a springboard rather than just a parenthesis. Zenith is a journey to go beyond borders, but above all, a journey to break free from them.
A project that questions, that disrupts, that inspires.
An adventure that, we hope, will never truly end.
