With this project, we want to support young people in their search for identity and social inclusion. Many young people in Brussels experience a dual and even more complex identity in Belgium, they are often seen as having a migrant background, while in their country of origin, they are considered Belgian, experiencing in thmeselves that they identify with youngsters in Palestine. This can lead to confusion and uncertainty about who they are and where they belong. This also is the case among Palestinian youth with Israeli passports, who navigate between different cultural and political realities daily. By bringing together young people from Brussels, Jordan, and Palestine, we want to create a safe space where they can share experiences, learn from one another, and develop strategies to promote inclusion and peace education. The main objectives of the project are: 1. Making identity-related questions discussable – Giving young people the opportunity to reflect on their complex identity and openly share their experiences. 2. Learning from each other – Gaining insight into how youth in different countries deal with identity, social inclusion and cohabitation. 3. Connecting experiences – Encouraging dialogue between Belgian, Palestinian, and Jordanian youth to explore similarities and differences. 4. Developing inclusive strategies – Working together to create ideas and solutions that foster social inclusion. 5. Strengthening international cooperation – Bringing young people from different backgrounds together to build long-lasting relationships and mutual understanding. Peace education is part of it.
