The VAMOS GIGOS (Volunteering, Active Mobility, Opportunity & Sustainability in Youth Work) project aims to enhance the quality of youth work by providing youth workers from GIGOS (Belgium) and Youth BCN (Spain) with firsthand experience of different youth engagement models. Through a study visit to Barcelona, participants will explore how local organizations foster youth participation, social inclusion, and non-formal education, allowing them to gain new insights, exchange best practices, and develop skills that can be applied in their own communities. The objectives of the project are: ·To strengthen the professional capacity of youth workers by exposing them to innovative approaches in participatory youth work and volunteer management. ·To provide a structured exchange of best practices between GIGOS and Youth BCN, focusing on youth-led spaces, sports for social inclusion, and community-based initiatives. ·To enable participants to reflect on and improve their own youth work methodologies, making them more inclusive, participatory, and responsive to young people’s needs. ·To foster long-term collaboration between the organizations, encouraging future partnerships and shared learning opportunities. By the end of the project, participants will have new tools, strategies, and perspectives that will help them engage young people more effectively, ensuring that the study visit leads to practical improvements in their daily work.
