With Testing Democracy!, young people make their voices heard about democracy and how youth participation should have a place in it. The project offers young people at three policy levels a platform to influence the democratic processes that directly affect them, with a lasting impact on their involvement in society. At each level, we create an opening for policymakers to listen to young people's views. Through organising youth processes in which young people themselves are at the helm, young people formulate their policy recommendations and demands to democratic institutions and politicians. For the local level, they do this through public local action. For the Flemish/Federal level, they organise a Round Table discussion with politicians. And for the European level, they develop a shadow parliament, in which they engage in dialogue with European politicians.
