The link between sedentary lifestyles, technology and obesity among young people in Europe is becoming a growing public health concern. Over the past few decades, technological advances have significantly changed the way young people live, learn and participate in social activities. While these technologies offer numerous benefits in education, communication and entertainment, they have also contributed to a drastic decrease in physical activity, leading to an increase in obesity rates. The project focuses on tackling sedentary lifestyles and technology addiction among young people, which contribute to obesity and mental health problems. It offers a youth exchange to develop key skills, knowledge and strategies for a balanced use of technology and promoting physical activity. Through training in digital literacy and screen time management, participants will learn to use technology for personal development, social impact and inspiration for other young people. The project aims to transform technology from an obstacle to a tool for promoting active and healthy lives. The goal is not to limit access to technology, but to build skills for conscious and purposeful use of digital resources to support personal development, physical activity and social connectedness. This project aims to organize a youth exchange that will develop key skills, knowledge and strategies for leading an active and healthy lifestyle, combined with a constructive and conscious use of technology. Through training in digital literacy and skillful management of screen time, participants will learn to use technology as a tool for personal development and social impact, inspiring and motivating their friends, family and acquaintances. The project will prepare them to become “multipliers” of a healthy lifestyle, promoting activity and well-being among other young people. Instead of eliminating technology from everyday life, we will show how it can be a powerful tool for positive change – a tool that encourages physical activity and social initiatives, rather than becoming a barrier to real experiences and activity. The specific goals we have set ourselves to achieve our shared vision include: 1. Increasing the awareness of young people about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle; 2. Encouraging young people to be more active and productive in their daily lives; 3. Transforming technology from an obstacle to a means of supporting an active lifestyle, supporting young people to use technology effectively and protect themselves from technological dependence; 4. Using the power of social media to promote a healthy lifestyle; 5. Develop skills to create comics to raise awareness of the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle and solutions and strategies for acquiring healthier habits among young people; 6. Promotion of the Erasmus+ program as a platform that promotes a healthy lifestyle and active aging.
