Youth Society for Peace and Development in the Balkans strives to improve youth participation and develop the motivation and competence of young people to engage in democratic life at local and national level. In partnership with the National Youth Forum, Youth Participation Academy vol. 2 aims to address the need for more civically active and democracy savy young people by equipping them with competences in representation, civic participation and working with local and national government. By taking part in the four planned mobilities, combined with online phases and practical assignments, 50 young people (15-25 years) from all over Bulgaria will develop their civic awareness, knowledge and skills towards participation in the civic process and the implementation of initiatives and causes relevant to their communities. The current project builds on the success of the first edition of the Academy, part of the team being in fact young people who participated in the first edition.
