Objectives

The project proposal " A Century Later: Youth Travelogues from Svishtov to European Union" aims to provide young people with fewer opportunities - including members of ethnic minority communities and young people with special educational needs - with a unique platform for personal, professional and social development. Through the integrated programme, which includes a 4-month preparatory phase, innovative training modules and intercultural mobile activities, we will remove structural barriers that traditionally limit access to European educational and professional opportunities. In terms of youth work, the aim is to create an environment where young people are trained and inspired to become active creators of their future - people who, through their own creativity, knowledge exchange and practical experience, change the social dynamics in their communities. The main objectives of the project can be seen in several interrelated directions. Firstly, through specialised training modules focused on the acquisition of advanced technological skills - such as working with artificial intelligence, virtual reality and audio processing - we aim to prepare participants for the demands of today's digital economy. This aspect of the project is particularly important as digital literacy is becoming an increasingly key factor for professional success and personal development.Participants will have the opportunity to develop their own projects, create interactive educational content and learn how to communicate effectively. II.The proposal seeks to enhance intercultural exchange and European identity by providing young people with a unique opportunity to participate in trips to key European destinations - such as Bucharest, Athens and Brussels - via sustainable train transport. These mobile activities will provide participants with the opportunity to learn about different cultural contexts, exchange ideas and experiences with young people from other countries and gain a deeper understanding of European values. The intercultural dialogue that will take place during the journeys is essential for developing tolerance, social inclusion and a sense of belonging to the wider European community. By directly experiencing different cultural realities, young people will learn to value and respect diversity, which is a key principle of contemporary European youth policy. III. The proposal aims to create a sustainable platform for the dissemination of the acquired knowledge and innovative educational resources that will be shaped by the participants themselves. Through the creation of youth journeys - which will include virtual realities, videos, podcasts and other digital products - we aim to inspire not only participants but also a wider audience of young people to take advantage of European mobility initiatives by applying for a DiscoverEU card. These resources will serve as examples of good practice in the field of youth work and support the development of new projects focusing on social and vocational training. The impact thus created will extend not only to direct project participants but also to young people in the region, stimulating the exchange of ideas, knowledge and innovative approaches in education. From a youth work perspective, the project aims to transform the way young people with fewer opportunities perceive themselves and their possibilities. We want to create a dynamic and supportive environment where young people feel valued, motivated and able to take initiative in shaping their future. Through one-to-one counselling, mentoring support and active participation in all stages of the project - from information sessions and selection to mobile activities and final documentation of results - we aim to build a strong network of youth leaders who will be agents of positive development in their communities. This includes the creation of a community of practice where young people will be able to share experiences, work together on joint initiatives and continue their self-development and learning process even after the project has ended. Our wish is that the young people develop the necessary competences to successfully integrate into the modern knowledge economy, feel part of the European space and bring innovation and creative thinking to their regions. The project aims to stimulate personal growth, build networks of mutual support and create a culture of active citizenship to inspire future generations. It is a training and mobility initiative based on youth work that will leave a lasting mark on the lives of young people and lay the foundations for a stronger, united and more prosperous future for the whole region and the European Union as a whole.
