Objectives

In a world full of opportunities, there are unfortunately still young people who remain on the margins, without access to the same chances as their peers. Roma youth often do not have the opportunity to travel, discover new horizons and develop, and many of them have never left their hometown - Sliven. This project is designed to change that - to give a voice, opportunities and a future to these young people from our target group. Our main goal is to give young people not just an experience, but a real tool for self-development - through the methods of non-formal education, mobility and awareness of the opportunities the programme can offer them. During the project participants will have the chance to get to know Europe, understand how the European Union works and learn how to use its programmes and resources for their future education and career development. Some of the main objectives of the project are: -Learning about and discovering Europe, the European Union and the European institutions. -Developing valuable skills and competences- The project will give young people knowledge and practical skills that will help them in life - from how to apply for a job to how to plan their future. -Self-awareness and confidence - Through experiences outside their comfort zone, young people will discover their own abilities and build a clearer vision of their future. -One of the main objectives of this project is through the active participation of young people with fewer opportunities to become a springboard for socio-professional integration and development of NEET youth from Roma background. The project encourages young people with fewer opportunities to connect, creating an environment where they can exchange ideas, learn from each other and develop continuity and understanding. Particularly important is strengthening the link between Roma young people and other European communities, which will give them a greater sense of belonging to the European Union. Youth empowerment: participants will have the opportunity to meet different people and representatives of decision-making organisations. Belonging to Europe: we will encourage young people to feel part of the EU and understand how they can be active European citizens. Cooperation and teamwork - through group activities, participants will develop social skills, skills on how to communicate effectively and how to work together towards common goals. Sustainable development and environmental awareness : The project will inspire young people to embrace sustainable travel and realise the importance of environmental thinking. By promoting train travel and other eco-friendly alternatives, participants will develop a responsibility towards nature and be more conscious of how their choices affect the environment. The participants will learn about the benefits of green travel and be encouraged to implement it in the future. They will realise the importance of protecting the environment and how they can contribute to a more sustainable future. A special focus on Roma youth: Overcoming social barriers- Roma young people often face restrictions in accessing European programmes and educational opportunities. This project aims to change this. Reaching the most vulnerable groups - We have direct access to young people from the Roma neighbourhood of Hope, where interest in such initiatives is huge but places are limited. The motto Leaving no one behind - This is why we want to give more Roma young people the chance to get out of their environment, to travel, to develop and to see that Europe is for them too and they belong to Europe. Opportunity for personal and professional development: A clear vision for the future - the project will help participants to build a plan for their development and to understand what their educational and career options are. Overcoming self-sabotage - many young people in a NEET situation (without employment, education or training) suffer from a lack of self-confidence which discourages them from seeking new opportunities. Through this project we will help them to believe in themselves and develop concrete practical skills for the future - from improving communication and leadership skills to creating a professional CV, preparing for interviews and applying for other opportunities. Our experience shows that international mobility has a profound impact on young people. We have seen young people who were previously insecure and without perspective return confident, inspired and ready to discover the best version of themselves. Our goal is to give this chance also to Roma youth from our target group, who most often remain outside these opportunities. This project is not just an experience - it is a stepping stone to a better future.Through it, we will build the next generation of youth leaders who will not only be inspired to develop themselves, but also motivate their peers to do the same
