Objectives

Project Overview From December 5 to 13, 2025, PSC plans to organize, in cooperation with several youth organizations, a multilateral youth exchange in Cyprus titled "Rights Rising." The project will span eight working days and involve 48 participants from 6 European countries. The primary objective of the project is to provide an opportunity for young people and youth workers from different countries to exchange experiences and competencies, equipping them with skills to act as multipliers. Objectives The project's objectives include: Fostering mutual understanding between young people from different countries. Contributing to the development of quality support systems for youth activities. Enhancing the capabilities of civil society organizations in the youth field. Activities and Methodologies The project enables young people from diverse cultures and social and ethnic environments to come together. Various activities will promote informal education, including: Workshops Discussion clubs Exploring cultural-historical heritage and protected natural areas These activities aim to promote intercultural dialogue, allowing participants to engage with each other and foreign cultures. The project will also cover some of the most recognized human rights, such as the right to live, exist, work for anyone, own property, safety from violence, protection from the law, fair trial, presumption of innocence, citizenship, and the right to vote. Main Goal and Theme The main goal of the project is to cultivate and promote human rights and equality among youth. By including young people with fewer opportunities, we aim to give them a chance to participate in a youth exchange, meet peers from different countries, and experience a shared European future. The project focuses on promoting human rights and raising awareness of European citizenship and the active role young people can play in developing human rights. The project is a week-long programme utilizing various educational methodologies, such as: Thematic and methodological inputs and discussions Guides and reference documents Simulation exercises Group dynamics and interactive role plays Examples of good practices Mid-term and final evaluations Ice-breaking and team-building activities Cultural evenings Our project aims to contribute to developing human rights education among young people, promoting mutual understanding, peace, friendship, respect for human dignity and rights, non-violence, and non-discrimination. The youth exchange will also help participants learn about Europe by meeting peers from other member states and experiencing cultural diversity and intercultural learning. The project aims to raise participants' awareness of human rights in Europe and global challenges, such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and sustainable development. At the end of the project, participants will publish a booklet with the program's results, which will be distributed within their local communities. The project's primary aim is to contribute to building a tolerant, integrated society based on respect for gender equality and cultural diversity through active intercultural cooperation and dialogue. By raising awareness among youth leaders about gender identity and cultural diversity, the project supports their development as youth workers and peer educators in their communities. The project aims to lay the foundation for young people interested in human rights, enhance their capacity in the field, and promote cooperation and mobility between organizations dealing with vulnerable groups, human rights, and anti-discrimination. It also aims to promote linguistic diversity, gender equality, and the inclusion of young people from different social and economic backgrounds. The project aligns with the guidelines and is largely inspired by Global Education Resources, based on informal education methodologies. It follows the Recommendation of the Council of Europe on Education for Global Interdependence and Solidarity, according to the Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture. This project shares new methods, techniques and approaches on how to work with young people to improve their competences. The project offers young people the opportunity to change their lives, improving the teaching of languages and promote the EU´s broad linguistic diversity and intercultural awareness that will allow them to improve their personal and professional skills and will allow them to meet other cultures rather than their own.
