Pause and breathe was a youth exchange taking place in Paphos, Cyprus, co-implemented by IEEN, in partnership with AEA - Romania, Active Kosmos - Spain and EN Root - France. The central aim of this project was to help the young people participating (and indirectly, their communities) to use the benefits of mindfulness (emotional regulation, decentering, better focus, etc) as a tool for improving their social, personal and professional lives. Looking back, our objectives were successfully realised: 1. The project helped the participants gain knowledge about 3 types of meditation practices: the 5 senses meditation, breathwork meditation, and body scan meditation, that they can further use in order to cope better with day to day stress. 2. We used mindfulness as a way to help the participants acquire at least 3 lifelong skills: sustained attention, resilience and emotional regulation. 3. The young people became happier, more grateful and more confident by integrating mindfulness and gratitude in their day to day lives.
