You(th) Shape Democracy project aims to boost youth participation in policymaking discussions on transparency in Cyprus. It empowers young people (13-30) to advocate for transparency and challenge corruption. Through focus groups, debates, workshops, consultations, and direct engagement with policymakers, it strengthens civic leadership and fosters active participation Objectives •Equip young people and youth workers, especially those from remote areas, with the knowledge and skills to engage in democratic life •Educate youth on corruption, transparency, and ethical leadership through non-formal learning, enabling them to recognize corrupt practices •Provide opportunities for youth to interact with policymakers and experts, ensuring their voices shape future policies •Equip youth and youth workers with resources, such as the Democracy and Youth Transparency Guide •Encourage youth participation, particularly in light of Cyprus’s 2026 EU Presidency, fostering a culture of engagement
