The main project aim was to strengthen the leadership competencies and personal resilience of youth workers and youth leaders, equipping them to effectively guide young people through an increasingly complex and unpredictable world. Recognizing that youth organizations are frequently driven by enthusiasm but often lack formal preparation, the project implemented an experiential training course designed to transition these leaders from being only reactive to being fully prepared, proactive, and courageous in their roles. Specifically, the project aimed to achieve impact across several key areas: - Building the self-assurance and critical thinking needed for youth workers to take initiative, launch new projects, and make fast and effective decisions in high-pressure environments. - Enabling leaders to think strategically, design impactful long-term programs, and cultivate inclusive spaces that respect diversity and ensure all participants feel valued. - Fostering functionnal communication, active listening and strong collaboration within teams and with external stakeholders. - Supporting the personal and professional development of youth workers through self-reflection, empowering them to inspire their peers and multiply the positive impact across the broader youth work sector. The project objectives were: To equip youth workers with practical methods and tools for developing interpersonal, social, and entrepreneurial skills, such as communication, collaboration, and ability to take risks. To help youth workers bring higher self-awareness into their work, identify their behavioral patterns and focus on areas for improvement when working with young people. To develop youth workers’ abilities in giving and receiving feedback, solving problems, and communicating clearly in challenging situations. To encourage youth workers to embrace uncertainty and adapt to working with limited resources. To enhance the importance of tolerance, respect for diversity and inclusive attitude as values that are to be encouraged when working with youth. To create a space for youth workers to explore experiential and outdoor education methods. To support youth workers in clarifying their ideas for improving local youth work and provide them with concrete planning tools to bring these ideas to reality.
