Objectives

The training course "Youth Flow2: Empowering Youth Workers in Mindful practices" will provide individuals with a path to explore and experience the benefits of mindfulness through conscious dance, breathing and various art and craft activities. In collaboration with our trainers participants will gain intense knowledge and skills in the field of self discovery and personal development. Mindfulness appears straightforward, yet it carries depth; it involves training oneself to direct attention solely to the present moment's occurrences. Despite its apparent simplicity, mindfulness stands out as a profoundly impactful instrument for both personal growth and spiritual evolution. The advantages of engaging in mindfulness practice encompass enhanced concentration and memory, bolstered immune response against illnesses, heightened sense of joy and satisfaction, as well as diminished levels of chronic pain, blood pressure, stress, anxiety, and depression. Our highly skilled trainers will lead participants in practicing empathetic communication, while also offering opportunities to explore breathing techniques designed to alleviate stress, promote mental rejuvenation, and induce relaxation during challenging situations. The motivation behind this project stems from the increasing recognition of the significance of mindfulness and its myriad benefits, including stress and anxiety reduction, enhanced sleep and concentration, elevated happiness levels, and greater overall life satisfaction, while also addressing burnout. The Youth Flow training course aims to empower individuals by providing them with essential skills and knowledge. Through activities involving body movement, breathwork, art, and craft, participants will delve into avenues of self-awareness and experiment with various breathing techniques to enhance physical flexibility, coordination, body consciousness , crativity. This project caters to individuals who are actively seeking methods to enhance their personal growth, overall well-being and elevate their quality of life. The main aims and objectives of the project are: Motivating young people and youth workers to move at a time when the majority of the young population have a sedentary lifestyle; The renaissance of contact with the physical body, which is the source of many personal experiences and through which we make relationships happen - crucial at this stage of life; Thanks to the breathwork participants' breath will be more functional, i.e. they will remember and be trained to breathe naturally through the nose, not through the mouth, which is not anatomically or physiologically adapted for it. We will explain the techniques and methods of breath work. Due to the increase in neuroses, depression, anxiety - dance and other body work (breathework, etc.) is one of the means that can evoke the experience of spontaneous joy and to discover satisfaction and the meaning of life stemming from internal sources. This attitude reduces the meaning of outside stimulus that promises cheap passive entertainment; Gently and consistently navigate through dance and body work into the uncomfortable zone, or to challenges that strengthen, empower the identity and increase the overall resistance of a person. Returning to reality through the body, discovering the inner world, its possibilities instead of living in an illusory, virtual reality through electronic media. Training to use gained skills, practices in regular youth work, to teach to young people techniques of conscious dance, breathwork and creative activities for their perosnal encouraging, overcomming obstacles, building their resilience. Youth workers will get practical tips and steps to use later. Building a healthy work environment for us and for the people with whom we work and/or we are willing to continue our partnership for a long time; Providing non-formal and informal learning opportunities for educational, professional and personal development of youth workers, contributing to high quality practice and work as well as to the evolution of youth work organizations and systems; Building a community of youth workers that can support the quality of projects and activities for young people in EU programmes and beyond; Developing local youth work practices and contributing to capacity building for quality youth work of the participants and their organization, having a clear impact on the participating youth workers' regular work with their local young people; Building a cooperative work environment for us, for the people with whom we work and we are willing to continue our partnership for a long time bridging borders and building lasting connections in the wider world of youth work.
