Objectives

Future Stewards project aims to empower youth workers and young leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to design, implement, and sustain impactful environmental initiatives. While many young people across Europe are highly engaged in environmental activism, they often lack structured support and the practical competencies needed to transform their ideas into effective, community-based projects. The project addresses these challenges by providing youth workers with targeted training in environmental project management, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability strategies. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project enhances the professional development of youth workers by equipping them with concrete tools and methodologies that can be integrated into their daily work. By improving their ability to mentor and guide young people in sustainability-focused initiatives, the project strengthens the overall capacity of youth organizations in the field of environmental education. Additionally, the project fosters international collaboration, encouraging the exchange of best practices and the development of a strong network of youth workers dedicated to sustainability. A key objective is to ensure that youth workers are not only trained in theoretical aspects of environmental project management but also gain practical experience in designing and planning real-life projects. This hands-on approach helps bridge the gap between theory and action, ensuring that youth workers leave the training with actionable skills and a strong network to support their future initiatives.
