What we want to achieve: By implementing this programme we want young people to understand the concept of "hygge", we want to link it to lifestyle and show people how this lifestyle can positively influence our mental well-being and quality of life. We not only want to gain a deeper understanding of how Danes approach work-life balance, but also to be inspired by Danish habits and useful techniques that support the mental health of those around us on a daily basis. During our stay in Denmark, we want to collect information about how mental health is perceived in Denmark and compare it with the Czech Republic. This project will definitely help us not only theoretically but also practically to change the way mental health is talked about. It can help not only in family or friendly relationships, but also help people to open up more and solve their problems. Denmark is really close to nature, whether it is just parks or beaches. Regular exercise in nature is really important and can help improve the lifestyle of young people. We want young people to see with their own eyes and experience what they have only read or learnt about in school. With this project we want to connect theory with practice. We also want to encourage sustainable behaviour in everyday life. We want to show that ecology does not have to be incomprehensible or costly. Just start sorting waste, cycling more or saving water. The Danes are proof that small habits have a big impact. The aim is to show how to create a pleasant environment at home while taking care of your surroundings. We also want to understand why electric cars are widespread in Denmark and how Danes feel about them, so that we can transfer it to the Czech Republic. We have several sub-objectives of the project that are interrelated. The aim of our project is to explore the hygge philosophy and its impact on the mental health of young people and to apply it to everyday life. One of the main goals is to raise awareness about mental health. We want to focus on how an open discussion about mental health can positively influence the everyday life of young people. Through discussions we want to show people that it is normal to talk about stress or other problems. There are always ways to work with and prevent these problems or at least reduce them as much as possible. The approach to mental health in Denmark has inspired us and we want to bring it to the Czech Republic and open people's eyes and help those in need. Another important goal is to promote a positive lifestyle. Many young people face pressures from different areas of life, so we want to demonstrate how a lifestyle that includes taking care of themselves or doing their favourite activities, for example in nature, can improve their psychological well-being. The project will also focus on developing social skills and promoting interpersonal relationships, as these are also very important for mental wellbeing. Another aim is to learn about the Danish approach to sustainability, which combines a modern lifestyle with nature conservation, waste sorting and the use of electric cars. An important goal is to improve the foreign language, in this case English, as English will be the means of communication. The goal is not only to improve, but to stop being embarrassed to speak a foreign language. Before the trip we also plan to get acquainted with basic Danish words (e.g. greetings, numerals), because just saying hello in the language of the country can help to make contacts with strangers. It is also necessary to mention the personal growth of the young person, his independence, self-confidence, independent and group problem solving, development of creative and critical thinking, development of IT skills and rhetorical skills. Stepping out of one's comfort zone is equally important, young people will have to rely on themselves, function without their parents, but most importantly, they will also have to support each other if they don't know how to do something. Last but not least, we must not forget to get to know Danish culture, sights, interesting places, traditions and nature.
