There is a two-pronged approach. At first, we intend to generate new ideas for our green climate plan with and fill it with concise actions for Czech and German students / teachers alike participating in workshops, outings, expert talks, job shadowing respectively. Furthermore, we would like to work on a hands-on-project (educational video, podcast, interactive show board etc.) to take back home to our school family, thus critically reflecting on (non-)sustainable behaviour, e. g. consumption.
Vocational College Coburg is member of a network of "climate-friendly schools". After successfully developing and partially realizing a "green school policy plan" with fields of action, we have been awarded "silver status" by Bavarian Ministry of Education honoring our efforts. Since causes and consequences of our actions are not solely confined to school, we have liaised with external institutions (municipality). We desire to improve our green plan by cooperating with Obchodní Akademie, Prague.
