The growing heterogeneity of students requires new approaches in schools that incorporate digitalization to optimally prepare them for their professional future. The 2023 PISA results show that for example countries like Estonia and Sweden are successfully implementing this. For teacher professional development, it is important to adapt programs to the heterogeneity of both teachers and students, considering current findings, with international best practice examples being of significance.
