Objectives

The aim of this project was to acquire essential knowledge and hands-on experience to ensure the successful hosting of EuroSkills 2027 in Düsseldorf and the organization of the Central German Championships. Through targeted job-shadowing at EuroSkills Herning 2025 and AustrianSkills 2025, participants gained insights into best practices for managing large-scale professional competitions, including logistics, event coordination, and talent development.

Background

Our institution plays a key role in vocational education and training, overseeing the organization of both national and international competitions. Within the Erasmus+ framework, job-shadowing is employed to systematically observe and analyze best practices, which are then applied to the planning and execution of EuroSkills 2027 and the Central German Championships. Priority areas include internationalization, innovation, inclusion, and sustainable event management.
