Objectives

With this project, the city wants to - meet global challenges locally. - increase language and intercultural skills in the municipality and thus offer adequate service to ALL people - counteract the shortage of skilled workers through training opportunities and a field of work in the context of European countries. - create social, ethnic, linguistic, gender and especially cultural diversity of the European Union in the administration

Background

The city of Münster faces the challenge to deal with globalization locally (e.g. international citizens, university city, foreign guests, citizens with migration background, current political situation). Münster would like to tackle these problems together on a European level. This requires linguistically and interculturally trained staff and a willingness to leave the “comfort zone”. For this reason, and in order to be an attractive employer, Münster is applying for this project.
