Objectives

The "Exploring different cultures and cuisines in Europe" project is the continuation of "Cook more, waste less" in which the "Zero Waste" movement was applied to cooking in order to sensitize young people against food waste and the impact it has on the environment. In this Youth Exchange we are going to use gastronomy as a cultural expression of diversity that, as a wealth, we must preserve. Culinary heritage is an element of cultural communication, a trace of identity that is reflected through cultivation, typical products and dishes, or the ways of serving and consuming food. The main objectives to be achieved with this project are the following: 1. To promote intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding among young people from different countries through gastronomy. 2. To give the possibility of identifying common values with people from different countries, despite their cultural differences. 3. To become acquainted with different culinary traditions of the participating countries. 4. To increase participants' awareness of other cultures and countries and to strengthen European citizenship, offering them the opportunity to build international networks. 5. To promote the inclusion and active participation of young people with fewer opportunities in the project. 6. To raise awareness of the Erasmus+ program and the opportunities it offers to young people.
