The “Breaking the Silence” project empowered young people to speak out against bullying and to take an active role in creating safer, more inclusive communities. We break the silence surrounding bullying by giving youth the confidence, support, and opportunities to lead meaningful change. Our objectives helped young people design and lead their own anti-bullying campaigns, workshops, and community events. We created a safe space where participants could openly share their experiences and reflect on the impact of bullying. Another key objective was to train participants as peer mentors so they could support others and spread anti-bullying messages in their schools and communities. We also raised awareness about the harmful effects of bullying through youth-led activities and to strengthen participants’ practical skills in communication, digital media, public speaking, and event planning.
