Objectives

The “GrEEnspiratiON” Youth Exchange was designed to address the urgent environmental and social challenges linked to waste management, overconsumption, and unsustainable lifestyles. Against the backdrop of rising global waste production and the increasing ecological impact of industries such as fast fashion, the project aimed to empower young people to take an active role in promoting sustainable living. The overall ambition of the project was to inspire and mobilize young people to become conscious consumers and ambassadors of green change within their communities. Through a combination of non-formal education, practical workshops, and intercultural experiences, the project sought to strengthen participants’ environmental awareness and equip them with the tools needed to take meaningful action at both local and international levels. More specifically, the project aimed to: ● Create an inclusive learning environment for young people from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds to exchange knowledge and practices related to sustainability and waste reduction. ● Develop practical skills in upcycling, repurposing, repairing, and redesigning everyday materials to encourage creative approaches to waste minimization. ● Promote environmental awareness through experiential learning, including outdoor clean-up actions, eco-trails, and nature exploration activities. ● Foster a culture of sustainability and solidarity, particularly through initiatives such as a “Swap Shop,” clothing swaps, and zero-waste workshops. ● Encourage the use of digital tools to document and disseminate project results, inspiring wider communities to adopt sustainable habits. ● Strengthen participants’ understanding of Erasmus+ opportunities and promote youth mobility, intercultural learning, and active engagement in environmental initiatives.
